The Anderson High School Football Team will host Lakota West 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Brown Stadium for the next round of Division I play. Tickets will be on sale at Anderson the following dates and times:

Wednesday Nov. 4: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 5: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
Friday, Nov. 6: 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tickets are $7 presale and $9 at the gate. AHS gets to keep a percentage of any presale tickets but gets nothing from tickets sold at the gate. So Anderson encourages fans to buy presale. Since this is an OHSAA Tournament no event passes or senior passes will be accepted – sorry. All school-aged children, 6 and over, will be charged an admission fee.

This game is going to be a "BLACK OUT" so come cheer the Redskins and wear your BLACK!

Congratulations to Anderson Junior Tim Ficke. He is the AHS Fan of the week for October 26th. He receives a $10 gift certificate to Chick-Fil-A and a plush Chick-Fil-A cow.

Sydney Loesing - Girls' Soccer
Sydney Loesing is a sophomore forward on the soccer team. She currently leads the team with 13 goals and 3 assists. Sydney has played well all year and is a big reason why the Redskins captured the sectional title this week, beating Mt. Notre Dame 3-0.

Brandon Bornhauser - Football
Brandon Bornhauser is a senior captain on the football team. From the quarterback position last week, Brandon scored six touchdowns and had 248 yards rushing in a 63-21 victory over Milford. Brandon has led his team to a 9-0 start which has secured at least a tie for 1st place in the FAVC Buckeye Division.

Norwell Named to U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Anderson High School had the opportunity to celebrate a unique honor bestowed upon one of its own athletes. During a special afternoon ceremony Oct. 26, Army Lt. Col. Matt Carran officially announced the selection of senior Andrew Norwell to play in the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Only 90 athletes from across the country were selected for this game. The 10th Anniversary of the 2010 U.S. Army All-American Bowl is scheduled for 1 p,m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in the Almodome, San Antonio, Texas. The game will be broadcast by NBC.

Congratulations to Marley Rossa & Patrick Campbell who qualified to move on to the Regional Cross Country Meet in Troy, Ohio Halloween weekend.

AHS Senior Tennis Player Bridget Hochwalt was crowned FAVC Champion and qualified for the District Tennis Tournament in Centerville.
